ATI AIW

Can anybody enlighten me as to why when I boot my system using a tv as a
display, the start screen is in colour, but when the system is running I
have only a black and white display?
The graphics card is an ATI AIW 4MB running under Win98 with drivers
supplied from ATI and is connected via s-vhs to scart adapter.

This is the newsgroup for XP problems.... perhaps you should ask in the
Windows98 newsgroups...

However color appearing in b&w is normally a problem with NTSC vs PAL.
Check your tv can support an NTSC imput on the SCART socket.
