ASUS P4C800-E: SATA as IDE

Hi there. I installed 2 SATA 120gig Seagate Barracudas on SATA RAID 1 &
2, a DVD-RW on SATA 1 and a CDRW on the primary IDE connector. In BIOS
I set the Promise controller to IDE. The CDRW shows up as my Primary
IDE master in BIOS (Main). The DVD-RW on SATA 1 shows up as my 3rd IDE
master in BIOS (Main). The two hard drives are recognized, yet they
don't show up in the BIOS-Main menu. Should I and/or can I configure
this differently before installing XP.

Hope I explained it okay.

Thanks in advance,
JC

I don't have near as complex a setup but if I understand you correctly
you have sata drives on sata1 and sata2. My K8V Deluxe has a similar
setup ... My sata drives also on sata1 and sata2. They never appear
in the first bios screen that shows up as you boot. The second one
however will show them in my case.

You can cause one of the Sata's to be boot drive if you want by going
to the boot section of CMOS/BIOS and adjusting the boot drive there.
