Associating icons with file types when there is no change icon but

After installing Adobe Photoshop, the icons and associations for my .jpe,
..jpeg and .jpg files changed to Photoshop and the Photoshop icons. I followed
Ramesh's response to Norm's question, but in the dialog box for these 3 file
types there is no button for changing the icon. I changed the file
asociations back to what I wanted, but the icons remain as the Photoshop
icons. Is there a way to change the icons back to what I had or do I have to
accept what Photoshop is doing without my permission? File associations and
the resulting icons were never an option during the Photoshop install. It
bothers me when program installations do that....

Thanks in advance for any help here,
Jeff

Ramesh's way is very clear and the change icon should be available above
the Actions window after clicking the Advanced button.

However you have another option:

Open Adobe PS and check in it's options for file associations and remove
any selections you don't want associated with APS.
Open the application you want associated and check it's options.
