On WIN XP Pro I can't seem to put a password on shared
folders. On WIN 98 it was quite simple and worked well.
These PC's are on a network and not everyone on that
network should have access to 2 particular PC's shared
folders but some poeple need access. Both of the 2 in
questions are Win XP Pro--one is NTFS and the other is
FAT32 formatted. Any suggestions?

That is not supported in Windows NT/2000/XP. If you want to restrict
access, you need to configure matching user accounts on each machine, with
the same names and passwords, and keep those passwords in sync.
