I suddenly aquired a new "User" on my computer named ASP.NET after running
Ghost 9. Ghost said I had to install .net software before it would run. This
is buggering up my windows start as I now have to select my name as "User"
before Windows XP will finish loading. Can I delete this ASP.NET without
screwing anything else up? Is there another way to bypass the annoying
start-up and shut-down screen?[/QUOTE]

If you go to the Windows update site and get the hotfix for net framework 1.1
it will clear that up for you.

I had this happen as well, i don't have Ghost 9, don't even know what
it is. Anyhow, ASP.NET appeared to need a password.
I just deleted the account without loging into it.
What gets me is Xp never asked if i wanted to allow a new user.
there are no side effects... yet.
