I run Windows XP Home. Every time I open PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc my
computer goes through the Office install process, asking for the installation
CD. Since the programs are all pre-installed, and I never used to have this
problem, a) how do I fix it and b) is the cause due to anything (bug, virus)
I may have gotten by surfing the web?

Thanks very much, Carey. But I don't have Office 2000 installed, I have
Office XP Professional. Any other ideas? I've looked for a similar patch for
this version but can't find one.

Gerry,
No, not yet. Is it something I should be using regularly? How do I obtain
it, and what will it do?

Thank you!
