XP Installation asking for floppy

Dan

Hello, Im trying to install XP on a computer. When the installer
starts, after booting from the CD, it asks to put in drive A: a setup
floppy disc. I dont have a floppy disk and I have always installed it
with just the CD.

Any ideas on why is asking for a floppy to install after booting from
the CD?

Thanks,
Dan

Sounds like a modified CD looking for a unattend.txt file off that floppy.

I have used the same CD on another computer and it worked just fine,
without asking for floppy.

Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Dan

What is the exact wording of the entire page?
We are missing something here.

The only other thing is that the CD is messed up or the CD Drive is messed
up.
(Same CD on more than one system?)

Dont have the exact wording, but it asks me to insert the disk labeled
XP in drive A:. It asks me to press any key when the disc is in
drive A, and the only disc that is inside is the XP disc from which I
just booted from. Ive never used a diskette to install XP before so
dont know whats wrong here.
