Asked for password when submitting form?

Hi,

I have a form within a password protected subweb.

After entering with the correct password etc - I try to submit a form and it
asks me again for the UN and PW!

The pop up window says;

Enter a username and password for ":" at http:www.mydomain.com

Anyone know what ":" refers to?

Sorry, I should have added I have just swapped the website to another host.

However, the form is only set to email results and NOT to write to a file in
_private directory. Therefor should not be a permissions issue.

What other issue could it be on the new hosts server setup?

The host would need to verify that the server is set up to send email from a
web form (especially if you're using the FP server extensions).

Thanks Andrew,

but i have other forms outside the protected subweb that work fine and sends
emails etc - so it must be something to do with this form being inside the
subweb.

Have you check this permission issue with your web host?
