Thank you for your reply. However, the fix you suggested
didn't work. I have AOL 8.0 Plus Revision 4129.910. When
I click web graphics I have 3 choices: Always Compress
Graphics; Never Compress Graphics; Only compress graphics
if I do NOT have a broadband connection to AOL. I must
choose one of the three, I can't clear all.

I chose each and tried to download a .jpg photo and save
it as a .bmp file. In each case, the photo reverted back
to jpeg format and was not viewable using wnidows picture
and fax viewer.

Any further suggestions?
