Are PCs an advantage anymore????

I noticed alot of people follow the internet/windows hype now that still do
not know about the false sense of intellect that computers give you. I guess
alot of people psychologically become addicted to staring into their monitor
because it gives them a feeling of being more important than they really are.
Now having a PC think for you to bee like everyone else instead of before
they gave you better convienience

Yeah, used to be you could get someone killed for a case of beer. Now,
because they have to chase down IP addresses and whatnot, it takes TWO cases

Actually, the greatest downside to the computer age is multi-tasking
on the job which has resulted in increased on-the-job injuries e.g.
carpal tunnel, back and neck problems. etc.
It use to be that one went to work and did one task, very, very well,
now you go to work and are overwelmed by multiple tasks that your
never able finish and many people end up staying over just to complete
their 'regular' work and aren't compensated in any way. In fact, if
you don't do this some bosses look at you as if your not pulling your
weight and doing your job.

I know, since the advent of Microsoft Word, a man no longer gets a secretary. As you have
stated, neither receives more money for more work, and reprimanded by management for not
finishing what they themselves are useless at.

Ironically, there maybe increased on the job injuries, but worker's compensation insurance has
very cheap for IT professional (indemnity insurance can be quite expensive though).
