Applying an Existing Template

I have company templates under my templates and people send reports that have
not had this template applied. How do I take the existing document and apply
the company template without cutting and pasting. In Powerpoint it's just go
into design and pick your template. I cannot figure out how to do this in
word. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If the document contains (say) a letterhead or other text that you want
included, then cut and paste is the way forward, otherwise you can attach
the template from the Tools > Templates and add-ins button (Word 2003) or
the Document Template button on the Developer Tab (Word 2007)
