Environment:
Windows 2008 Server running Terminal Services. Users access front-end
Access 2007 db using 2008 RemoteApp. Front-end is linked to back-end on file
share.
Frequent Application Hangs in Access. Issue is exactly as described in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935370 which references Vista and SMB 2.0 but
our environent is Windows 2008, which from what I read, is the same as Vista.
However, KB article says Vista SP1 or hotfix resolves. 2008 server is
running SP1 so either this is not the issue or 2008 SP1 did not resolve as
Vista SP1 supposedly did.
File referenced in hotfix link Mrxsmb20.sys for Vista is date 4/6/2007
version 6.0.6000.20573. On Windows 2008 server, it is dated 1/19/2008
version 6.0.6001.18000 which is later so I would guess the issue would be
resolved.
