RemoteApp printing

It seems that local printing using a RemoteApp program (via TS Easy Print)
only works for Vista, not for XP.

It that true? I can't get it to work for a client running Windows XP SP3,
running a program which is really on my Windows Server 2008 SP1.

Or maybe I'm missing something.

Is there a work-around for XP (like maybe install .net 3.5)?

Thanks,
Bob

Yeah, you're missing a brain, as usual. Like why didn't you post this in
the terminal server newsgroup instead of here?

TS Easy Print is working fine here through RemoteApp on a Win2008 x64 server
to this XP SP3 32-bit laptop. Have you got SP3 installed? You need the XPS
print drivers and RDP 6.1 client.

Hi ss. Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I mentioned that the XP is SP3. How/where do I get the XPS driver?

I thought it got installed with SP3. But it looks like the requirement is
actually .NET Framework SP1 (not sure if that came out before SP3 or is
included with it). Are you sure that there are no XPS printers on the XP
SP3 machines?

Okay. I installed .NET 3.5 SP1 on the XP computer and now it can print on
its USB attached local printer. Interestingly, in the Printer Properties (on
the server) for that printer, under the Location and Comment, it has Model:
Terminal Services Easy Print. Exactly how it's supposed to be.
