AOE III Demo... !

Andrew

I got AOE III Demo Installed.

I have, Intel Pentium 4 2992MHz, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, 512MB RAM, 53Gb
Free Space, DVD RW+/-, CD RW+-.
Microsoft Windows XP SP2+, all updated drivers/WinUpdates installed.

Its so slow it takes 4 mins to move the mouse across the screen, changed all
settings to Minimum i.e. Graphics Low, textures Low, Music off.
And it makes no Difference what so ever. So I uninstalled it. and guess
what...? Unistaller left all the shortcuts..! Manually deleted the now
invalid shorcuts.

Thought I'd check out Microsoft Games Advisor:
(http://gameadvisor.futuremark.com/gameadvisor/service/) AOE III not even
on.
Why is that I wonder, Perhaps because its so slow its unplayable..?

The graphics card is very low end, I've got a 5200 in my Tablet so if I get
some free time over the weekend I'll see how well it performs on it, then we
know if the card is simply not up to the job or if there's something else
going on.

The shaders seem to have the biggest impact on performance, did you set them
down, they're on the second page in graphics options.

Perhaps because the game isn't actually out yet, it's a pre-release demo.
