Anyone have a real solution to Definition Update failures?

Definition update always fails on Win2K.

80070005 Access is denied.

And yes, I've already tried all the Windows updates, and yes I can access
the update page. Still does not do squat.

Looks like I'll just uninstall this and renew my SpySweeper subscription.
 
Do you have auto scan and update turned off? If not turn them off and try
manual check for updates.
