Anyone fixed the games minimiseing to taskbar yet ?

Had a good look through the forums about this problem
that many people have with games minimising to the
taskbar. Mine does it with nearly all games and its very
annoying spending £30 or £40 on a game then not being
able to play it.
My system is a P4 2.53 running on a Gigabyte 8PE667 Ultra
mobo, 1Gig 333Mhz DDR, PNY Geforce 4 MX440, SB Live
soundcard, 21" Iilyama Visionmaster Pro monitor. All the
drivers are up to date, and I have the latest Directx
installed.
Some games let me in if I press the mouse button quickly
4 times on the black screen, but in PGA Tour 2003, when
it changes resolution after each hole, it returns to the
taskbar. Mechcommander 2 wont let me play at all. But
Unreal Tournament is fine, it plays as games should,
without minimising to the taskbar.

What is the problem and has anyone actually managed to
fix it yet?

Hi Bryan,

You have a great system. The MX is a weak card when
compared to the rest of the hardware you're using though.
Make sure that your chipset drivers are up to date, and
run the tests in dxdiag to see if any error are reported.

I would try a Ti or Fx card in your system if you have
access to one. It might be the solution you're looking for!
