Any Virus Risks With Outlook 2003 "Desktop Alert" Feature

Is there any virus related risks associated with "Desktop Alert" feature of
Outlook 2003. This is the small rectangular box that momentarily pops up at
the corner of the screen when a new message arrives. In our environment,
the html rendering is enabled on email messages.

Nope. it displays the plain text part of a message and those are safe.
