Any File Operations - System Hanging for some seconds

Guest

Hi,

I am using Win XP Professional SP2.

I am facing a wierd problem since few days. Before this everything was
working fine and no new software/application is installed on my PC.

Whenever, I open a file from Windows Explorer or Desktop, the system hangs.
The operation takes about 10-30 seconds and then it opens the file. A
right-click on file also creates same behaviour.

When I open my Internet Explorer browser, it hangs for sometime and then
starts working normal. I am not facing this problem on FireFox.

Also, when I open a File Attachment from Lotus Notes mail, it opens fine
without any problem.

Did anyone encountered this problem before. Please help.

Thanks in advance,
Kamlesh
