anormal high cpu usage of explorer.exe

rollsroys

hi,
i'm running windows xp sp1 and since a while explorer
shoots randomly (even without using it) to 90-98% of cpu
usage.
this slows down not only explorer, but the whole system.
in the task manager i can kill explorer.exe, but after
restarting it it jumps up on anormally high level.

anyone has an idea. help appreciated

Do you think your computer might have a virus, or maybe even spyware? Just a
thought.
