Annoying Windows Media Player Desktop Icon

R

Rafael

All,

I configure a sauce PC (Win XP SP2) and sysprep it. All works fine when I
deploy the syspreped OS but when the user logs in (any user), it creates a
Windows Media Player Icon on the Desktop.

Is there a way to prevent WMP 10 from creating icons on the desktop? Ideally
a reg hack of sort so I can apply it before sysprep.

Thanks,

Rafael

Does it really create a icon for each user or is it a icon for all users.

We had the same problem and it was sysprep who created a mediaplayer icon on
the all user desktop. Take a look in "systemdrive"\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Desktop and se if you don't got a media player link there
