annoying - please help

Ever since I "upgraded" to IE6, I have not been able to
always display pictures on websites - specifically .gifs.
All of my settings are correct - "show pictures" is
checked, and I checked everything found in Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article - 283807 - and all is AOK. I
have "repaired" the browser twice, and reinstalled it
once. I am still having problems. I KNEW I should have
left well enough alone with the most stable IE5.5 and NO
problems. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME? (Thanks!!!)
