Anitspyware disables SP2 firewall

S

saigalt

After downloading AS beta I found that my firewall was
not starting [error 10047 : an address incompatible with
requested protocol use] .
I have since uninstalled the AS beta but the problem
persists. So I am now left without an antispyware or a
firewall ... any suggestions ?

This error is not one I've seen before, but please try this and let us know
whether it provides progress.

At a command prompt, type:

netsh winsock reset

and hit the enter key.

Restart the machine, and see how the networking works.

Had a similar (not exact) situation with NIS 2005. A system restore worked
for me.
