Microsoft Anitspyware disabled my firewall

Microsoft Anitspyware disabled my firewall. When I
installed the software my Security ALert advised me that
my firewall was turned off. When I try to turn it back on
it just tells me it can't. I uninstalled the Antispyware
and then I am able to turn the firewall back on. Is this
normal? I would'nt think so!
