Animating one word in a paragraph or sentence

A

AMcLin Fred

I am trying to do a fill in the blank power point presentation, where there
are key words that are left out. As I go through the presentation, I would
like to be able to click my mouse and have the missing word appear.

How do I animate only one word in a paragraph or sentence?

Thanks

AMcLin Fred,
You will have to put a separate textbox in and animate that with an entrance
effect on click.
Align the textbox carefully with the other text. To have the gap in the
sentence you can either use a tabstop which is rather fiddly, or format the
word with the textcolour matching the background colour.

To animate only one word in a paragraph or sentence, do the following...

1. At first, open the required PowerPoint presentation and select the slide
on which you want to animate only a word.
2. Allow a gap (i.e. pile of spaces) for where the word will go.
3. Insert another textbox and type the word that you want to place it over
the gap.
4. Then place the textbox in the middle of the gap.
5. Bit of fiddling later and you have a word that looks like it fits
perfectly into the paragraph.
6. Now just animate this separate textbox.

I hope this would work.

An alternative method would be to put a rectangle with background fill over
the word and then give that an exit animation. Just means you don't have to
be quite so careful with lining everything up....

Oh, and you may want to look at triggers too which would allow you to have
the words appear in any order:
