analog to digital in MM2

I am transferring old analog tapes via by VCR into my Panasonic DV camcorder via analog conversion and then DV out via firewire. I have already recorded some into my harddrive, but for some reason I can't now. The problem is that the video from the vcr shows on the preview pane, but when I go to capture it captures the footage on my DV tape in the camcorder and it won't let me proceed without a tape inserted in the camcorder. I just downloaded MM2 not long ago and I had no problem in MM1.
I have set the camcorder to AVin/out, and Dv out to ON. I have played with it for a long time with no results. Any ideas?

Good Day. I ran into exactly the same issue the other
day. I posted a plea for help just a few hours ago on
this board (titled "Cannot capture live video in
MM2..."). Hopefully someone will come to our rescue!

MM2 doesn't support 'pass-thru'. Microsoft provided a utility to help you
with that... there's a link to it on my Problem Solving > Checklist page.

Also, you can run both MM1 and MM2 and continue to use the features of MM1.
See the Setup > Software page.
