I am running Windows Vista 64 bit Home Premium on a Toshiba Satelite
L555D-57910.
I have to user accounts 1-admin and 1 limited.
Recently both accounst lost their account information for the email addresses
and can no longer send and recieve mail from their servers as a result.
The mail folders, sorting rules etc. seem un affected.
when I try to restore the email info from tools-accounts-add it lets me put
in all the information the gives me the error message:
""An error occurred while reading the new account information.""
and exits without adding the account.
What can I do about this?

First you will need to delete the existing accounts, then restart Windows
Mail, then recreate the accounts.
Also, make sure none of your security software interacts with Windows Mail.

i've tried that and still I can not get my email account set up, any other
suggestions?

My suggestion was addressed to Murlynn Anderson, for her particular
issue. I have no idea whether your issue is identical or just similar.

Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
