amin alert doesn't appear after stop screen

Hello. I've got quite an unusual problem. I've got a new computer, from
Dell, and I've formatted the hard drive and re-installed Windows XP Pro from
the disc that Dell supplied.
Now the computer is quite unstable and has crashed 5 times over the last few
days with 'Blue screen' stop errors. But when I restart the computer the
administrative alert 'windows has recoverd from a serious error.....'
doesn't appear and I also don't get the option to post the crash dump to
microsoft.
I have 'enable error reporting' for both Windows and Programs ticked in the
error reporting box and I have 'send an admin alert' ticked and 'small
memory dump' selected. So there is nothing obvious that would cause this.
Can anyone know why this might be?
Thanks.

Hi Dave,

If it's new and under warranty, contact Dell support for assistance with
their machines.

If not, why did you reformat a new machine? Have you installed all needed
supporting drivers? Did you alter any of the system BIOS settings
(overclocked)? What do the blue screens say? Are you able to load Safe mode
or Safe mode with networking and maintain stability?

Hi I posted here for info as to why the administrator alerts weren't coming
up after the crashes rather than as to why the crashes are occurring.
I re-installed Windows because there were so many trial programs running the
background, about 70, and it was much easier than identifying which ones
were needed then disabling/removing them.

Have a Dell tech come over and fix it. If he cant. Cancel the charge and
return the PC.

In your case, evidently not!

As for the running programs, if you would have posted here earlier on:
Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup and Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs.

As per your ongoing issue: What does the Device Manager look like?

In addition:

Try running the DirectX Tool: Start/Run/Dxdiag, Lower Hardware Acceleration
(Display/Settings/Advanced/Troubleshoot/Hardware Acceleration). Check
System Info for problematic issues: Start/Run/Msinfo32/Hardware Resources
and Components/Problem Devices and Software Environment/Windows Error
Reporting.

If there's anyone out there that can interpret mini dumps I've posted all
the crashes to this address.
http://www.zen70645.zen.co.uk/crash/
Does anyone know what is the most probable cause of the crashes. A software
issue or faulty hardware?
Thanks.
