Always runs Setup Assistant

MS anti-spyware has been working great for weeks. Then it
downloaded the latest version automatically the other week
and I've now got a problem with it.

Every time I click on the taskbar icon it loads the Setup
Assistant. I go through the steps to configure it and
check the settings and save them. But the next time it
will do the same again.

I am logged on as an Administrator. Any idea why it won't
remember that I've already configured it?
