The wheel won't work. Connected to ps/2 port, checked driver it is up to
date, checked windows update - nothing. Troubleshooting guide says there
should be a "wheel" tab in mouse properties but there is not. How do I get
the wheel to work?

It sounds like the drivers for a generic mouse is loaded. Did you install the
drivers/software for the Alps Mouse?

Manufacturer site states product uses standard microsoft mouse driver.
Microsoft driver is up to date. Wheel does not work.

Swap with another PS2 Wheel Mouse, and see if the one you are using is not defective?
