- checked registry with tweakui and setting is still there for 2 lines.

how do I regain use of mouse wheel ?

Uninstall the mouse driver.
reboot
Reinstall the mouse driver.

Jon,

Try to use your mouse on another system. If the registry settings look
alright then it may be that your mouse has stopped functioning properly and
the wheel just doesn't work. If you try it on another computer and the
scroll works then you may be looking at software but always look at hardware
first, it's the first layer to check when troubleshooting.
