Hi I have allready a machine with embedded windows.
i don't have a image of that embedded machine.

What can I do, to make a image of this machine and to deploy this embedded
windows with updates and so on?
Without the image of the machine.

Other question.
Can i make a image of that machine?
How?
There are 4 partitions on it.
1st windows
2 programs
3 free space
4 hidden partition (i think with recovery software)

What is best way to start.
i'm new to this stufff so any help will be glad;)

Don't? Ask the manufacturer.

Hi Krystian,

so you won't be able to make an exact duplicate of that image easily... but
from a hardware perspective, you can use CD1 in the XPE toolkit and boot the
device with winPE (assuming device has CD, or it's capable of USB boot
CDROM)

you can then run the TAP application, also on the CD. the output of TAP is a
file called devices.pmq.

this file can be imported directly into Target Designer, or use component
desinger to make a component out of it. This is your base hardware. use TD
to make a small image like a winlongon sample macro, and build. this would
get you base functionality... from there you can customize.

You could use symantec ghost, use the -IR switch to make an exact disk copy

example: ghost -clone,mode=copy,src=1,dst=2 -IR

this will make a copy from disk 1 to disk 2. The only thing you willl need
to do is change the SID (use newsid.exe from systernals.com)
