I had good luck using CDShredder and Adaware to get rid
of this parasites..I have similar problem in that
this "Alexa Toolbar" keeps popping up in my Explorer, and
everytime I switch pages it refreshes and adds an
interruption. Webroot Spy Sweeper gets rid of it
temporarily, but it seems to have installed itself in my
registry because Explorer is installed with default
settings that allow outside spyware to come and install
itself on the PC, as I learned belatedly.
I went to tools/options/advanced and turned OFF the
two "Enable Install On Demand" options under browser.
Other than reloading EVERYTHING on the PC, I don'tknow if
I can edit the registry but that scares me. I just think
its inane this stuff is installed with the default
allowing this.
