Hi, thanks for reading.
Have a problem with 10 x Win 2000 workstations (various
SPs - 2 to 4)on network, was hit by around 15+ trojan
viruses. Cleaned with Norton AV 2004 & added Internet
security firewall + Watchguard on broadband router. The
net effect is all removable media (FDD, CDROM, Memory
cards via USB) are described as invalid or inaccessible
devices when trying to access them (checked device
activated, network settings, sharing and norton settings,
re-loaded drivers for CDROMs & mem cards - no effect).
Have loaded WIN XP pro upgrade on one but made no
difference. Have re-formatted disk on one and reloaded
Win 2K and this fixes problem. Anyone know how to get
this problem fixed without total re-install of all
clients? This is 2nd network in 2 weeks that I have seen
this on and my collegues have seen the problem on
another 3. Win98 machines & linux + MAC on network are
all working ok,
Thanks for any responses
