Now I understand. If I use Open Source software, it's "open sores" and
if you use Open Source software, it's because you have free will and
it's find and dandy. Thanks for clearing that up.
Yeah sure...and that went completely over your head didn't it.

Not at all. Your stance is crystal clear. I you use Open Source, it's
all right. If a Linux user uses Open Source, you lie about them, insult
them, bluster all over the place and use derogatory terms like "open sores".

"Open sores" is deservedly off handed reference to a fanatical movement
and people like you who are religiously fanatical about open source
software.
It is a cause and a movement lead by RS and others and you are one of
it's followers.
It is your choice so just live with it!

While, unlike you, I don't believe in a non existent god, it doesn't
mean I don't have a religion and I can assure you that not only is my
religion hundreds of years older than Christianity but it has nothing to
do with computers, much less operating systems. I only promote Ubuntu
because I like it and feel others may be tired of the "anti piracy"
crap, viruses, trojans, root kits and other malware that invade Windows
boxes. It is not a faith thing but based on empirical reality.

BTW, I am getting LOADS of emails from people who read this newsgroup
asking about Ubuntu. I wonder why?

You're a linux fanatic...face it...you are what you are.

Yeah, right!

I wonder why?

Cause they're also open sores fanatics?

Considering there is no such thing as a god, you do. If you have lived
in the middle ages, you would have thought the world is flat.
it doesn't

You're a linux fanatic...face it...you are what you are.

Not at all. That's something you made up in a lame attempt to discredit me.
Yeah, right!
Yep.

I wonder why?

Frank

Nope. It's because they are sick and tired of Vista and XP's "anti
piracy" crap, viruses, malware, root kits, etc. Reading comprehension
problem again?

Some people in the present don't know if the world is flat or not...

I think she was trying to say, those things are not important to her or her
life. In her reality the world has ups and downs and valleys. On the grander
scale, from orbit, the world may well be a globe, but in her life what she
is going to feed her kids is the reality. Her eyes look upon what is before
her and what she can do, not on the horizon which she can do nothing about.

Do you believe the world is flat too? Do you believe in a god? Santa?
Tooth fairy? Vista?

Heh. Once a person from the USA posted that he thought that Madrid,

Well, hahaha...it produced an atheist idiot like you!

First, bluster:
Well, hahaha...

Then a lying insult:

it produced an atheist idiot like you!

And you know where I got my education? Oh, please, do tell us how you do
that.

BTW, both Republican and Democrats are wooing ex pats overseas for money
so I guess that throws your lame argument that all ex pats must be
running from the law out the proverbial Windows.

Perhaps you're right that's not important to her, but that doesn't excuse
the fact that she didn't know whether or not the Earth is flat or round.
I'm pretty sure that type of information falls under the common knowledge
category, or at the very least someone with a couple of levels of education
in grade school.

No kidding, one even became president. Bush once thought Europe was a
country and didn't know Brazil has "black" people.

I think you missed the point. She was speaking experientially, not
scientifically. I.e. she was communicating that her "knowledge" of the
world - what she viscerally experiences of the world - she wouldn't describe
as 'a globe', rather 'how do do I get food for my kids today'. Although I
cannot substantiate it, I would venture confidently nevertheless, she is
well aware that, from orbit, the earth constitutes a globe.
