All-I-Wonder 9700 Pro

Hi, I recently purchased the All-I-Wonder 9700 Pro card. I was previously
using ASUS V8170 DDR Video Card. I installed the card into my system and
win xp managed to recognise the card as a "All-in-Wonder 9700" i.e. not
"All-in-Wonder 9700 Pro". When i set the refresh rate of the card to 75Hz,
it looks like it's still operating at 60Hz. How do i check whether its
actually at 75Hz? The screen looks like its flickering. I have not installed
the new drivers. I will do that soon. Is this a problem with the card; is it
not functioning?

One other question, When i go to the driver download site, it gives me 4
choices of driver families:

1. RADEON Family
2. RAGE 128 PRO Family
3. RAGE 128 Family
4. RAGE PRO Family

I am assuming i choose 1) RADEON Family?

Any help appreciated.
Cheers, Scott

You have to enable the refresh rate twice - firstly under the Monitor tab as
you not doubt have done then under 'Displays' select the Monitor box and
input the values for your monitor ie highest resolution and refresh rate.
Its a pain and I don't know why it has to be done twice - thats Windows for
you.
2nd question - yes , all Radeon's (7000, 8500, 9100, 9200, 9500, 9600, 9700,
9800) come under the Radeon family when finding a driver.
Install Radlinker http://www28.brinkster.com/chrisww1942/ and that will tell
you your clock rates to confirm you have a Pro and this chart
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031229/index.html
shows the differance between a Pro and non-Pro.
