"All fax printers are inaccessible"

Cannot send fax. Fax stays in Que. When you click on the
above message in Fax Console, it says "connection error".
Have reinstalled several times and set up through the
wizard with no change. This all happened after I replaced
motherboard and modem (Zoom PCI v.92 internal). Modem
works in other applications. Please suggest help before i
pull all of my hair out!(not thay much left anymore)

Hey Keith - I have exactly the same problem. What are we
missing? Everything else does work just fine.

Is SP1 installed?
What do you see when you go to Tools > Fax Printer Status in the Fax
Console?

Connection error while connecting to the fax printer implies that the fax
service is not running. Fax server will not run if there is no modem
detected. Can you please check if the modem is detected by the system. Open
device manager and see if the modem shows up. To double check you can use
the hyperterminal to dial a number and see if you can dial. Control Panel |
Phone and modem options also shown you the list of modems that are installed
on the system.

What modem are you using now?

Some more questions:
Are you using any shared fax printer?
Are there any communication software that is installed that makes use of the
modem?

I had a similar problem. Came across a utility faxfix.reg.
It fixed some registry entries and the problem was gone.
You can search on google for faxfix.reg.

Start by applying SP1. Look at your faxsetup.log to see if there are any
errors.

Search for faxfix.reg on google. This registry patch
fixed the problem for me. Maybe it will work for you.
