album to CD

Is it possible, through "moviemaker" to copy vinyl albums
to CD's? Could the turntable be plugged into the back of
the computer and subsequently be burned onto the CD or do
I need a special program to do this?

I know the Roxio CD/DVD burner software came with a program like this. I
think you could also use Audacity (free, google for it) to record the albums
into sound files. In particular, you want to find software with specific
features for album noise cleanup, to get rid of the hiss/crackle/pop you
often hear.
