I have an issue. When I change the password for an account that starts a
service it works fine and the service starts but for some strange reason
when I reboot the server it seems to lose the password and I have to retype
it all in again. Any idea why this is happening

Are you changing it in BOTH AD (or server)
and in the service control panel (or wherever
it is specified)?

You have to change all references to the account
so that they match.

If this doesn't solve it then please tell use WHICH
service and where you are making the changes
(explicitly).

Some of the services are SQL and I am changing it in AD. I go to the
service control panel and right click on the service and go to properties
and change it on the login to tab.

But did you change it in the Account itself? You have to do both,...both at
the same time.

This is the article that helped me.
