Windows hangs up on the "saving user settings" page during shutdown. The
strange thing is shutdowns are normal if I don't open any programs in
windows. Norton anti virus and ad watch monitoring load automatically, but if
I start any other programs (quicken, IE, OE, etc.) windows will not shut down.
The other useraccount on my computer, a "limited user", uses only Outlook
express (plus the above mentioned anti virus, etc.) and windows shuts down
normally for her everytime.
Windows operated normally before installing SP2. No other changes were made,
only SP2 installed.
The computer is a DELL Inspiron Laptop.
I will be very grateful for any help.
Thanks
Davy
