install B2
first the vedio card is Quadro 4 900XGL , can not install Nvidia Vista
drivers.
the rating is poor 1 .
then buy a new 9800Pro and install Ati new b2 drivers. the Aero was show up.
and rating change to 3.
But how to show up F 3D?

anyone using 9800Pro can give me some suggestions?

The "1" is because of the video card. The Vista performance rating
puts much weight to the gaming capabilities of the video card, but
your Quadro is for professional work, not for gaming.

I have a PNY Quadro4 NVS 280 AGP which is listed on
<http://www.nvidia.com/page/technology_vista_home.html>
and works with Vista, but without Aero Glass / F3D, of course.

then buy a new 9800Pro and install Ati new b2 drivers. the Aero was show up.

[Win] + [Tab] - see earlier thread in this news group.

I have a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB and found that the ATI driver
which Vista installs for this card works significantly better than the
driver which ATI offers for Vista Beta 2
<https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=5712>.

YMMV - depending on your system.

BTW - It appears the R 9800 Pro was one of the few video cards which
worked with earlier versions of Vista and Aero Glass, see second
paragraph in the chapter 'Graphical Interfaces' on
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista#Graphical_interfaces>.

IMHO many users will get bored with Aero after some time and switch
back to the Classic GUI, thus saving resources for applications.
(My Task Manager told me that the Sidebar alone is consuming about 18
MB RAM...)

THX, I check the list, and the Quadro 4 900XGL was not on the list, I think
that's the reason I can not install the Nvidia Vista B2 drivers.

THX again. I did not know that.

You would be happy to have as much as possible RAM available for work
when using PhotoShop or doing music or video editing...
