Adware.CPush

Hi! I'm running windows vista home premium and i just got a message from
symantec antivrus that i have this "Adware.CPush" on my computer. Right now
it's quarantined but symantec can't clean it or delete it. Can somebody
please tell me how to get rid of it? Thanks!

A quick Google for "Adware.CPush" brings up a lot of links suggesting
that while "Adware.CPush" is malware, Symantec NIS is reporting this
incorrectly. IOW it is a false positive. One of the links says that NIS
is detecting Second Life as this malware. Take a look at some of the
links produced in this Google search and see if they are applicable to
your situation:

The unfortunate news for you is that some time in 2005, Nortons lost the
plot and hasn't gotten it back to date. Free AVG does better than it and
doesn't slow your machine down to the point Nortons does.

Get Adaware and Spybot and run them to check for spyware.
