'Advanced Setting' tab missing under IDE controller properties! he

I bought a new DVD burner (LG 4160B) and when I was burning a DVD Nero (Nero
Express 6) said that I don't have DMA enabled and that I should enable it for
better performance.

I found that to enable it you:
-Open DEVICE MANAGER
-Click on the plus (+) sign beside IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLERS.
-Right click on the appropriate IDE channel (Primary or Secondary).
-Select PROPERTIES from the pop-up menu.
-Select the ADVANCED SETTINGS tab.
-Set the "Transfer Mode" to "DMA if available"

BUT I DON"T HAVE 'Advanced Setting' in my properties window for the IDE
channel!!!!!!!!!

my system specs are:
- P4 2.0Ghz 400FSB
- 845E chipset (ABIT BD7II motherboard (which says it supports UDMA)
- I have 2 HD connected to the primary IDE channel
- I have my DVD writer and a CD writer connected to my secondary IDE channel
(DVD writer is slave)

- I have the latest chipset drivers and Intel Application Accelerator
installed
- I have the latest BIOS version installed

- I ran MaxBlast 3 (A hard-drive diagnostics tool from Maxtor) and it said
that my hard-drives are running at Ultra DMA 5.

WHY DO I NOT HAVE THE ADVANCED SETTINGS TAB in device manager???????...and
how can i get it to appear so I can set my drive to DMA

Hi Max,

Since you have the Intel Application Accelerator installed you won't have
the Advanced Settings tab, as the Application Accelerator automtatically
adjusts the DMA modes.
