Can anyonehelp me.

I muck around with my user log in and lost the
Administrator after changing my only user log in to
limited.

Now, I cant edit any programs and worse of all I cant
update my window.

As you don't mention which version of XP you have, try one of the following:
In Home edition, boot into safe Mode.
In Pro, at the welcome screen press Ctl-Alt-Del twice. then log onto the
Administrator account.

BTW, it is NOT a good idea to use the built-in Administrator Account for day
to day use. Keep it for emergencies. Set up a User and give it Admin rights
for daily use.

This is where the reserve, emergency account called Administrator comes
in. Boot, hitting F8 as BIOS info goes to black; take Safe Mode, There
will then be an icon for Administrator on the Welcome screen. (If not,
hit CTL-ALT-DEL twice and enter the explicit name
Administrator
and leave the password blank)

In that, Start - Run the line
control userpasswords2
where you can select any account name and Reset Password

And I should have added - highlight the username and take Properties,
and on the Groups page you can put it back in the Administrators group.

You should keep one regular user name with Admin status, for day to day
Admin, keeping 'Administrator' in reserve
