Administrator User Account

I created 3 accounts along with my administrator account. Now, I can't see or
log in to my administrator account. I have only one limited - user account
that I can log in to - and of course, I can't update my software, etc. as a
result. How do I solve this problem? / get back my administrator account? I
find this strange / never knew this problem could occur. I still use my
original administrator password to login through the limited user account.

The account named 'Administrator' is still there
(but hidden once you created the additional accounts).

If you want this account displayed on the Welcome screen along with
your new account then download and install TweakUI.
Power Toy's - Tweak UI from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Once you start TweakUI, click on the 'Login' option.
(which is located near the bottom of the list displayed on the left side)

Now in the 'Settings' box on the right side
check the 'Show "Administrator" on Welcome screen' box.
Next click the 'Apply' button and then 'OK' to exit TweakUI.
The next time you boot you should see the Administrator account.

This is by design. The idea is to leave the built-in Administrator
account unused, so that it will be available -- uncorrupted -- in
emergencies.

The Administrator account disappeared from what MS calls the "friendly"
logon interface because one of the 3 accounts you created has
administrator privileges. Use that account when you need these
privileges.

If you want to access the Administrator account (for example, to create
another account with administrator privileges) press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice
at the logon screen (assuming that you don't have "fast user switching"
enabled).
