I'm trying to install CA internet Suit 2009 and when I start. I receive two
error messages. If I continue with the install, the anti virus works
correctly and the anti Spyware works but will not allow it to run active in
the background. I called CA and was told my problem is with my OS windows xp
because of these two error messages.
1) Warning W9011: you do not have sufficient privileges to install or
uninstall CA Anti-Spam. Unable to update registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEWSOFTWAREWClassesWQurb.QAddin.
Try logging on as Administrator.
2) Warning W9011: you do not have sufficient privileges to install or
uninstall CA Firewall. Unable to update registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEWSOFTWAREWClassesW.efw
Try logging on as Administrator.
I'm logged in as administrator and checked the user accounts to verify the
accounts and status user listed.
Run then control userpasswords2 then user accounts
User name Group
Administrator Administarors

What can I do to resolve this problem?
Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3
Thanks for all help.

You could log in as Administrator, not only to check your various accounts
but also to install the software.

I am logged in as Administrator when I try to install CA and it says "I do
not have sufficient privileges to install or unistall" This is what I need to
fix.

I also used CA's Uninstall program to make sure everything was removed.

All Administrators in XP are equal. You do not need to log into the built-in
Administrator to have its powers. Something else is wrong. Possibly the
machine is already infected. I would definitely check that first.

On another note, are you really sure you *want* CA software on your machine?
It was never one of my favorites but after its meltdown and trashing of
uncounted computer systems the other day, I wouldn't install it on any
machines that *I* support.
