Hi, I seem to be having a problem with gaining access to
a program because it says i dont have administrative
rights...however, I built my computer, I installed
windows xp pro, and I'm the only one that uese it...In
control panel under users im listed as administrator, and
under control panel>Administrative tools>Computer
management>local users and groups>users, I am listed
under groups as administrator and debugger user (i use
Visual Studio)...There is also the default Administrator
account, which I tried disabling and then running program
again(didnt think it'd do anytthing and of course it
didnt). I am just stumped...exact message when trying to
run the executable is "Unable to start Playonline Viewer.
Please ensure that you are logged into your computer
under an account with administrator rights. I tried
reinstalling, to no avail, and im not really sure where
to go form here. I log in automatically when starting the
computer(since i dont use a PW at regular startup, and I
have guest login off, if that matters for anything. Any
suggestions?
thanks
Zack

I suspect the problem is the executable program which doesn't respect
the XP security model properly, and not a fault of XP.

Try:
1. log is as the Administrator and run the program.
2. use the Compatibility wizard program to run the program.

Recommend you NOT try to disable the default Admin account. Not only is
it not possible delete the account, attempts to disable this may lead to
do something (?) which messes things up. Just keep the password secret.
