Administrative access denied

I am signed on as computer administrator, but when I tried to install AOL
spyware, I am denied access because it says I am not the administrator and
don't have access to make the required system configuration modifications,
please sign in as administrator.
 
go to Start, then click on the picture at the top of the start screen, hit
cancel, click change my acount type>make sure that it is on computer
administrator.
