access denied?

Hello, I tryed to install quickbooks pro 2006 and was having problems. Most
program files are denied access. I am signed on as the computer
administrator. I have tryed many things posted here but can not change
priviledges. The sharing tad does not show a permissions tab to change. I am
now having problems with most other programs reading the installer does not
have sufficient privileges.
Could anyone help??

Are you Windows XP Home, Pro or Media Center?

The sharing tad does not show a permissions tab to change

In Windows XP Professional edition, you need to disable "Simple File
sharing" in order to see the "Security" tab. For XP Home, boot into Safe
mode and login as Administrator to see the Security tab.
