administartator permission?

When I try to save something to my 'f' drive I get the message that I don't
have permission and to contact my administrator ( which I don't) have. How do
I correct this?

Go into User Accounts in Control Panel
Change Account type from 'user' to 'administrator'

What exactly are you trying to save to the disk? What kind of CD are you
using? Also have you tried using a different disk than the one you are
referring to in your Original Post(OP)?

Thanks for responding. Problem occurs both with data files and pictures and
with each type CD . I'm no longer getting the administrator message. Now (
with pictures) in IE the f drive does not show up on the choice list and on
Mozilla I get the message "incorrect function". With files on IE I also
don't get the choice of 'F'

So you are trying to save files from the web directly to the CD? If so
then try and save the files to your Hard Disk first and then try and
save them to the CD.

Well, I was trying to save a step but I find that I f I do save to the desk
top and then try there is still no 'F' option. Perhaps the drive is screwed
up? I have the old E drive that I replaced with a NEC DVD burner. Think i
will try switching that for the f

if you go to your device manager, do u see your f: drive there. to get
into device manager, click start, right click computer, click manage,
and then go to device manager. look for your device in the DVD/CD-ROM
drive section.
