Address problem with Outlook

I switched from Outlook Express (OE) to Outlook2003.
Contact address was transferred smoothly from OE to Outlook2003.
I see the complete listing of addresses in the Outlook Contacts.
But while writing emails under Outlook2003, email address did not show up.
It prompted following error:

The address list could not be displayed. The Contracts folder associated
with
this address list could not be opened. ............

Please help me how to handle this address problem. Satoshi
